Vintage Russian Palekh collector plate from 1989 titled “The Tale of Tsar Saltan.” Created by artist Vladimir Vzéslo in the traditional Palekh miniature style with natural gold accents. Part of the limited-edition Pushkin fairy tale series. Plate measures 7.75 inches.

Translation of the back:

“1989. Plate number Ж 1746 is the only official release of the work of artist Vladimir Vzéslo from Pushkin’s tale ‘The Tale of Tsar Saltan.’ Created in the classical Palekh style using natural gold and artist-prepared paints. This plate is the second in the series ‘Russian Fairy Tales by A.S. Pushkin,’ produced by the Lomonosov Porcelain Factory and limited to 195 firing days. Bradex No. 60-V25-1.3.”

Condition: Excellent with no chips or cracks. Hanging cord included.
