Antique Limoges France Cherub Plate A. Lanternier & Co. Scalloped Gold Rim

This breathtaking antique Limoges porcelain centerpiece bowl features a hand-painted scene of two cherubs (putti) resting upon clouds. One winged cherub holds a bow, while the other is depicted with a quiver of arrows, capturing a quintessential Victorian-era romantic theme.

The bowl is masterfully crafted by A. Lanternier & Co. of Limoges, France. It features an elegant footed pedestal base and a dramatic, deeply scalloped "seashell" rim with embossed floral details and fine gold-gilded edges. This "AL Depose" piece is a premier example of neoclassical French porcelain.

Condition
Excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The hand-painted central motif remains vibrant. Very minor wear to the gold gilding on the scalloped rim consistent with its age.
